Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to be a Christian to participate in The River Maker Camp?
Absolutely not! You do not have to be a Christian to attend, we welcome anyone who is interested in participating. Since it is hosted by a church, God and the Bible will be integrated into our projects, so hopefully you are comfortable with that.
Do you offer after-camp care?
Sorry, we can’t offer after-camp care. Many of our volunteer leaders will need to head to work or back to their families when camp ends at 3pm, so we are unable to provide additional childcare after 3pm.
How do you register more than one child?
Our system will only allow you to register one child at a time, so you’ll need to go through the entire check-out process for each child separately. Sorry, it’s not you, it’s us. 🙂
What is your refund policy?
We hope you won’t change your mind, but we understand there are sometimes extenuating circumstances that come up between now and the beginning of camp. Because we are hosting this camp for only one week, and we’re trying to keep costs low for everyone, we can only allow refunds if they are requested 60 days before The River Maker Camp begins, which would be by April 20, 2017. After April 20th, we can’t issue refunds since we will begin purchasing materials and preparing for Camp.
What about food allergies for the camp-provided lunch?
We will provide a nut-free lunch for all the campers every day. We’ll try to include gluten-free and vegetarian options for those who need it. If your child has additional food preferences or allergies, please send a lunch with them each day.
What should I send to camp with my child?
Campers should wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Depending on their Track or Station, they may be indoors or outdoors, and they may choose to sit outdoors during lunch or break. Please have them apply sunscreen before they arrive.
You don’t need to send anything else with your child, unless they need a special lunch from home.
